York City hit Truro for four as the Minstermen claim victory once more in the National League.
It took just 5 minutes for York to get the opener. Dan Batty with a brilliant lofted ball into the box from midfield. Meeting the head of Ollie Pearce, who buried the ball past Aidan Stone and into the net.
Alex Newby had the next chance of the game. His shot from the edge of the box was well blocked by the Truro defence before being hooked away.
Dan Batty was next to try his luck, but his shot from range flew high and wide of the bar.
Pearce had another chance from a header inside the 32nd minute. Batty’s ball into the box reaching the number 10 but his header this time was collected by Stone.
York made it two shortly after. Alex Hunt with the mind the ball a quick low ball through to Ollie Pearce who latched onto the ball inside the box before drilling the ball past Stone once more.
City’s pressure into the second half continued with Josh Stones finding room to shoot inside the box. The keeper got down low to make the save.
Truro were short of chances but did launch a shot at goal in the 67th minute. Will Dean from the edge of the box but Harrison Male pushed the ball wide.
Ollie Banks nearly made an instant impact after coming on. His venomous shot from just outside the box was well tipped over by Stone.
York added a fourth in the final ten minutes. Craig Hewitt playing a one, two with Alex Newby inside the Truro box before sliding the ball past Stone once more to extend the lead.
Joe Felix had the final chance of the game when he rolled a left-footed shot wide of the post.
