Ollie Pearce has been named the Vanarama National League Player of the Year for the 2024/25 season.

The striker claims a POTY award for the second year running, having fired in 46 goals in all competitions for Worthing before earning the move to North Yorkshire.

In his first season at National League level, the 29-year-old adapted quickly, involving himself in six goals during the first eight games.

For Pearce, it got better and better as it went on – his form during October and November was unstoppable, netting three braces and a hat-trick, as well as crucial goals against Barnet and FC Halifax Town.

His final strike of 2024 came away at Tamworth, where he reached fifteen league goals, faster than any other player.

More milestones were smashed through, as Pearce kept his form up with multiple match-winners as we approached the end of the season.

Against Aldershot, when we scored seven in a game for the first time since 2011, three of those goals came from the striker, claiming his second match ball of 2024/25.

Goal number 31 arrived in the last game of the season away at Eastleigh, capping off a remarkable debut campaign in the fifth tier as the division’s top scorer.

Not only has Pearce won the Keith Walwyn Memorial Golden Boot, a spot in the Vanarama National League Team of the Season, and the National Game Awards Player of the Year, but now also the league’s Player of the Year for 2024/25.

Congratulations, Ollie!
