York City can confirm that midfielder Olly Dyson has had his loan at Spennymoor Town extended until the end of the season.

Dyson, a former York City Clubman of the Year winner, joined the National League North outfit at the back end of July.

The loan deal was originally scheduled to end on 1st January.

The 25-year-old has so far played 24 times in the league for the Moors, and almost every minute of the season.

He has also appeared in all their six Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Trophy fixtures, making the versatile midfielder an ever-present in the side, and the only player to start every game in all competitions for the North East team.

Despite playing right-back on numerous occasions, Dyson has managed one goal in black and white, which came in a 4-2 win over Radcliffe, and he has also chipped in with a few assists too.

All the best, Olly!

Subject to league and FA approval.
