As part of Paddy McLaughlin’s testimonial year, as he heads into his tenth year of service at the club, the second event has been confirmed.
A Family Footgolf Day will be held on Sunday 31st August at York Footgolf in Skelton.
Come and celebrate Paddy’s testimonial with a round of footgolf. Meet former and current players who have entered their teams, plus Yorkie the Lion will be in attendance too!
Prizes are on offer for the day’s best scores, and include match tickets, a signed shirt, and other York City merchandise.

ABOUT PADDY MCLAUGHLIN TESTIMONIAL YEAR
Paddy McLaughlin has been granted a testimonial year in recognition of his outstanding service to the club.
Now entering his tenth season with the Minstermen, Paddy has become a familiar and respected figure at the heart of the club. His dedication, consistency, and leadership have earned him the admiration of teammates, coaches, and supporters alike.
Paddy played a pivotal role in two of the most iconic seasons in York City’s modern history — helping the club return to the Football League and lifting the FA Trophy in 2012, before captaining the side to promotion back to the National League in 2022.
To mark this milestone, a testimonial committee has been formed and is organising a series of events to celebrate Paddy’s contribution. Throughout the season, Paddy will reunite with teammates and staff from across his time at the club, including members of both the 2012 double-winning squad and the 2022 promotion side.
In addition, the committee is pleased to confirm that Menfulness (York) will be partnering with Paddy throughout the testimonial year, helping raise awareness and support for men’s mental health across the city.
