Vote for your 2023/24 Goal of the Season

Supporters are invited to vote for their Goal of the Season from 2023/24, with nine choices on offer.

York netted 60 goals across the 2023/24 Vanarama National League season, five more than the previous campaign.

Maz Kouhyar got City up and running away to Dorking in August last year as City went on to take a point at Meadowbank.

Thierry Latty-Fairweather had the LNER Community Stadium crowd off their seats in September, rocketing an unstoppable effort in our first home victory of the campaign.

Dipo Akinyemi has two goals against Bromley on offer. In ‘Goal C’, City went back-to-front in a matter of seconds against the eventual promotion winners, concluding in Akinyemi slotting the opener.

A Tuesday night under the lights witnessed Tyler Cordner rifle a distance shot in after driving from the half-way line, getting the Minstermen off the mark in a 2-0 victory against Oxford City.

Not for the first time in the 2023/24 season, Scott Burgess and Ryan Fallowfield combined to produce for the Minstermen. Gateshead on Boxing Day saw our Clubman of the Year smack in at the near post on the half volley to initially give City a lead.

New Year’s Day delight followed for York as we welcomed in 2024. Akinyemi sent a gliding left-footed shot in at the near post to wrap up a late present of three points at home.

Another Fallowfield nomination makes the cut for February as our Clubman raced in to guide Danny Amos’ central cross into the net.

‘Goal H’ represents an unforgettable afternoon down in Bromley for the travelling Minstermen faithful.

Goalkeeper Rory Watson distributed with pace towards Akinyemi before the forward audaciously lifted the ball up and over Bromley’s shot stopped from someway out.

Akinyemi’s spectacular at Bromley’s Hayes Lane tied up a pivotal three points on the road during Adam Hinshelwood’s relegation revival.

In front of an LNER Community Stadium record crowd of 7,657, for the last home game of the campaign against Woking, captain Lenell John-Lewis flicked a cool lay off towards Akinyemi before pandemonium followed.

The forward unloaded a wicked side-footed stunner into the top far corner of the net, cementing victory for York.
