Winger Eddie Kettlewell joins Bridlington Town on dual-registration

U19 attacker Eddie Kettlewell has joined Bridlington Town on dual-registration terms.

The winger has been part of the York City Academy since the age of eleven, moving through the ranks.

First-team boss Stuart Maynard selected Kettlewell as part of the matchday squad for our Emirates FA Cup tie away at Barnsley, before the 18-year-old made his professional debut off the bench at home to Gateshead in the Enterprise National League.

With the U19s, he has scored twice in the league, as well as a goal in the FA Youth Cup during our 6-0 win over Bradford Park Avenue.

Last campaign, the winger went on an incredible scoring run, with eleven goals in as many games.

Kettlewell has spent the last month on loan at Garforth Town, where he made four appearances, and netted a 94th-minute winner away at Brighouse Town.

Scott Kerr, former York City Clubman of the Year, is currently in charge of the Seasiders, who sit eleventh in the Northern Premier League East Division.

They host Consett AFC at the Mounting Systems Stadium tomorrow at 3pm.

Good luck, Eddie!
