York City are proud to unveil our 2025/26 Hummel third shirt, revealed for the first time as the players walked out wearing the black strip on Tuesday evening.
It dropped without warning, as we debuted our newest kit in the friendly at home to Sheffield United.
The official photoshoot for the third shirt was held at yet another iconic landmark in our city, along the cobbled streets of the Shambles – one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval shopping streets – and Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate, known for its short length and unusual name.
Finished in deep black, the shirt features a layered tonal pattern, incorporating elements unique to the club:
- ‘York’ and ‘City’ are spelt vertically in runes.
- The ‘Y’ shape and lions from our club crest.
- The triangle design, also seen on our 2025/26 away shirt.
It’s kept sharp by a clean and simple black collar, while our consistent features of a Yorkshire rose on the front and the longship icon on the back are present.
In this kit only, we see our club badge in monochrome, which seamlessly blends into the shirt’s aesthetic.
As always, our partners Titan Wealth, Dutch Barn Vodka, and Get Branded remain in place across the front, back, and sleeve, and Hummel on the chest.
First seen under the LNER Community Stadium lights, and now available for all, this is a shirt for those who back City, wherever we play.
