This weekend’s Men’s and Women’s fixtures are dedicated to celebrating Her Game Too!
Founded in 2021, Her Game Too works to eradicate sexism in the football industry. We at York City Football Club share their aim of wanting women and girls of all ages to feel confident and safe sharing their opinions about football, both online and in real life, without fear of sexist abuse.
First of all, join us at the LNER Community Stadium on Good Friday for our crucial Men’s First Team fixture against division champions Chesterfield in the Vanarama National League (3pm kick-off).
Here is what will be going on to support the campaign on matchday:
- Girls’ teams will act as flagbearers as the players emerge from the tunnel
- Her Game Too flag to be displayed on the pitch at kick-off
- Focus on female staff in the matchday programme
- Club staff and volunteers to wear Her Game Too pin badges
- Her Game Too logo on matchday programme and promotional collateral
- Season ticket holders or ticket buyers for this game, to get in free to the Ladies game on 31st March
- York City Ladies players to appear as guest speakers in the hospitality lounge
- Female artist on the Foundation FanZone stage
On Sunday 31st March, York City Ladies are in action at the University of York Sport Centre, as they host Norton & Stockton Ancients in the FA Women’s National League Division One (2pm kick-off).
Here is what will be going on to support the campaign on Sunday:
