Next month the York City FC Foundation and Football Club are working together to support the Football v Homophobia campaign.
We are dedicating the fixture against Yeovil Town on the 25th February to Football v Homophobia.
The Foundation will be running a number of initiatives with more information to follow, the first of which is the launch of a competition for local children to design the front of warm up shirts for the York City players to wear ahead of the game on the 25th. We are encouraging schools across the city to get involved in groups or independently to get creative with their designs.

February is Football vs Homophobia month and we are committed to supporting LGBTI groups by helping to spread the message that football is for everyone.
Football vs Homophobia aims to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels of football.
We hope the initiatives and competition will help the children taking part to be more open to discussing the topic and be more aware of the campaign.
