Standing Proudly With York City Ladies FC!
Today, on International Women’s Day 2026, we celebrate the incredible women and girls who shape our football community, on the pitch, in the stands, and behind the scenes. Their passion and ambition continue to inspire everyone connected with York City FC.
We are proud to have York City Ladies representing our club and fully recognise the vital role they play in growing the women’s game across the city and ultimately within our club.
Over the forthcoming weeks, as discussions continue to take place, we are working closely with York City Ladies FC to strengthen the connected partnership moving forward, enabling greater shared resource, expertise and most importantly a united identity under the York City FC umbrella.
It goes without saying that the women’s game deserves investment, visibility and unwavering support, and York City FC is proud to play its part in that.
On Saturday 28th March, when we host Woking, we shall be holding our annual dedicated #HerGameToo fixture, a game we will welcome local grassroots clubs and players from our own pathways to showcase the female game. As always, keep an eye out for specific activities on this day, and who knows, maybe even some exciting news.
Wishing the team the best of luck today in their league fixture vs Cheadle Town Stingers.
Happy International Women’s Day.
