On the back of the Lionesses success at the recent World Cup, York City Ladies are delighted to announce we will return to the LNER Community Stadium early next month.
After hosting three games at the stadium last season, we’re delighted to announce that the MinsterBelles will take on Leeds United Women on Wednesday 6th September (7:45pm kick-off).
The Ladies kick-started their second season in the FA Women’s National League Division One North at the weekend, narrowly losing 4-3 at home to Hull City Ladies at the So-Trak Stadium.
“We are over the moon to be able to announce that York City Ladies will be playing a number of selected fixtures at the (LNER) Community Stadium again this year,” said York chairperson Paula Stainton.
“We’re delighted to build on the success of the games we held here last season and to have the opportunity to utilise the Lionesses’ legacy as a platform to continue to grow our engagement in the community.
“These games at the LNER are an ideal way to introduce young people to become fans within the female game with free tickets for all children aged under eleven and in the comfort of our wonderful community stadium.
“Last season we achieved an outstanding crowd of over 2,300 against Leeds, which included lots of children from local grassroots teams within the City. It would be great to see so many of you down again at the stadium cheering on the Belles.”
Tickets for the game at the LNER Community Stadium are priced at £5 standard entry and all U11’s are free. All ticket purchases are subject to a booking fee. Please be aware that ticket emails may not be received immediately, but will follow next week
Hospitality lounge tickets are also available offering access to one of the stadium’s lounges before, during and after the game with a paid bar and executive padded seats included. Prices for this option are £10 standard entry and £5 for U11’s.
Tickets are now live, which can be purchased here
