The MinsterBelles return to York Sport Stadium this weekend for the final time in 2024 as they host Cheadle Town Stingers (2pm kick-off).
Emily Senior’s side will be looking to finish the year on a high and move themselves further away from the relegation zone. Goals from Katie Astle, Kanisha Underdown and Ocean Rolandsen were not enough for Senior’s side to pick up the points on the road at Chorley Women FC last time out.
The MinsterBelles last played ‘The Stingers’ back in August, with the home side taking the points in comprehensive fashion.
This weekend, we also welcome York RI U13 Girls as our Ball Girls and Wigginton Grasshoppers Girls U9’s as our Player Mascots.
The Opposition:
Cheadle Town Stingers are currently sat in third in the FA Women’s Division One North having secured promotion at the end of last season. They were on a run of seven games unbeaten, in all competitions, until they were knocked out of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup by West Brom (2-0) at the weekend.
They’ve enjoyed life in the FA Women’s National League, having already picked up seven wins so far this campaign.
