Supporters are being invited to join club legend Paddy McLaughlin for a special Testimonial Golf Day tomorrow, proudly supported by Leeds-based specialist joinery manufacturer Paradigm Woodworking.
Held in partnership with York City Past Players, the event takes place at Pike Hills Golf Club on Thursday 23 July and forms one of the final celebrations of McLaughlin’s testimonial year after a decade of outstanding service to York City Football Club.

The golf day promises to be another memorable occasion, bringing together supporters, former teammates, sponsors and members of the local community to celebrate one of York City’s most respected modern-day players.
Golfers of all abilities are welcome, with £180 per fourball including a bacon sandwich with tea or coffee on arrival, 18 holes at Pike Hills Golf Club, and a bar meal following the round. Adding to the occasion, York City’s National League Trophy will be on display throughout the day, giving supporters and participants the opportunity to have photographs taken with the silverware following the club’s unforgettable promotion-winning season.
Paddy McLaughlin said: “The support I’ve received throughout my testimonial year has been incredible and I’d like to thank everyone who has come along to the events so far. The golf day is another great opportunity to bring people together, catch up with old friends and celebrate what’s been an unforgettable ten years at York City. Their backing, along with everyone else involved, has helped make these events possible and I’m really looking forward to what promises to be another fantastic day at Pike Hills.”
Menfulness, Paddy’s chosen charity, will also be represented throughout the event, with funds raised helping to support its work providing mental health support and wellbeing initiatives across York.
