Match Preview | Altrincham FC (H) | Tuesday 4th March

We are back on home turf this week as we face Altrincham FC at the LNER Community Stadium tomorrow night (7:45pm kick off).

The Minstermen made it back to back away wins on Saturday with a narrow victory over Hartlepool United at Victoria Park, curtesy of a singular goal from Ollie Pearce.

City still currently sit in 2nd in the Vanarama National League, just ahead of Forest Green Rovers but behind Barnet who currently hold the top spot after their win against Oldham on Saturday.

Our opponents Altrincham currently sit in 7th in the National League, just inside the play-off places and ahead of Eastleigh by 4 points.

The last time these two sides met was back in November when Alty ran out 3-0 victors at the J.Davidson Stadium.

Focus Fixture

We are proud to say that tomorrow’s game against Altrincham FC will be our dedicated ‘Unite for Access’ fixture.

Every year the campaign helps to recognise why watching live sport is so important to disabled supporters and what clubs do to deliver this.

York City football club have been active in the last week, promoting and recognising the importance of this campaign to our disabled supporters.

Last week Rory Watson, Paddy McLaughlin & the two Yorkies paid a visit to The Snappy Trust in York where they engaged in fun activities, a Q&A session as well as posing for a group photo with all who attended.

In the pre-match press conference, local supporter Dennis Chadwick was invited down to speak to the gaffer about his career and his time at York as well as to speak about the campaign specifically to York City.

We have also been speaking to numerous supporters across the week on what this campaign means to them as fans of our club!

The LNER Community Stadium continues to offer accessibility for all – find out more on our dedicated accessibility section on our website.
