Match Preview | Darlington (H) | Saturday, December 7th

York City enter the Isuzu FA Trophy this upcoming Saturday when they host Darlington FC at the LNER Community Stadium (3pm kick off).

The Third Round draw coupled up The Minstermen to face Darlington at home, with the return of a whole host of former York City players and staff on the cards.

Adam Hinshelwood’s side go into the game with fresh legs following no mid-week fixture. City’s last home game saw a 6-2 demolition of Maidenhead United last Saturday.

Steve Watson’s Darlington beat Buxton FC 1-0 at home to book their Third Round spot. Former York City striker Cedric Main scored that afternoon for The Quakers.

League form has been hit and miss for Darlington, who sit 13th after 19 fixtures. Six wins and eight draws go alongside five defeats too.
