Match Preview | Solihull Moors (H) | Saturday 20th September

City can go four wins on the bounce this Saturday when they host Solihull Moors at the LNER Community Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Stuart Maynard’s tenure has so far seen us pick up maximum points, against Yeovil Town, Tamworth, and Braintree Town.

The clash against the latter last weekend had us 2-0 down in the game at the 50-minute mark, but we managed to get back into it through an Alex Hunt free-kick and a Joe Grey header, before Ollie Pearce dispatched an injury-time penalty to complete a great comeback in Essex.

Our upcoming opponents, Solihull, are under the helm of interim boss James Quinn as it stands, following the departure of Matt Taylor recently.

They sit 20th in the table, having won just once this term. Moors’ last time out was on home turf, as they played out a thrilling four-all draw with Morecambe.

It hasn’t been long since we last faced the Midlands outfit, having beaten them 2-0 in our final home league game of 2024/25.
